18 Flaggy Rock; Care Package

Our wonderful son must have been really worried about us as he sent us this "care package".  We had forgotten the wonderful taste of cold Cherry Ripe and how soothing hot water bottles are on sore muscles. A DVD with beautiful classical music which we haven't had since Jenelle's computer went down. It was a incredible surprise and much appreciated...

We even match our watering can to our hats for that added bit of colour....

Every time we see a new bird we are amazed at how close we can be to nature and have the time to appreciate what is around us in this part of the world. This is the first time we have seen a kingfisher here...

The bedroom is now finished and awaiting our bed from Brisbane.....

We have the Bobcat coming for a second visit and we have set him a task of clearing the Orchard. This is the orchard before he starts....

Yes there is a machine in there somewhere.....

The trees are emerging like a secret garden....

Some fine tuning and pruning and we hope this time next year to have plenty of fruit...

He also cut a path in and around the shed Shelia and Hec were going to retire too and make home but never had the chance....

We think it is the chook house.

Most exciting for us though was we had a rough idea where one of our corner boundary pegs was and so the Bobcat cut a path through the lantana and bingo first trip we have a corner peg.....

While the Bobcat was here we had him smooth out where we burnt the stacks of logs and lantana around the citrus grove. He made it look like a bowling green and in a matter of days we were planting up seeds there to expand our vegetable garden....

With a new rain water tank install on the Studio, it bound not to rain for ages now....

Some very silver doves came past one day.....

One afternoon we decided to go fishing down the beach and saw our  very first Jabiru....

Another first was Pelicans floating up the creek on the tide. While we were fishing on the other bank....

And to top off a stunning afternoon, a stunning sunset.....
